Sahapaadi conducts workshops and short-term interventions, engaging individuals, groups, communities, and institutions through themes of social justice.
Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) is an interactive theatre approach that uses performance as a tool for social change. It empowers participants to explore, question, and challenge oppression in their lives and communities. Through techniques like Forum Theatre, it encourages collective reflection and strategizing to address real-life problems. TO is a prominent technique that is used in Sahapaadi's programs.
Sahapaadi has conducted TO workshops in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Gender Park, Kerala and Sarovaram Biopark, Kozhikode
A two-month program was conducted at Government Fisheries Lower Primary School, Kadalundi to work with teachers on implementing strength-based practices in classrooms.
Strength-based classroom practices focus on identifying and nurturing each student's unique strengths, talents, and interests. These practices encourage positive reinforcement, fostering confidence and engagement in learning. By emphasizing what students excel at, teachers create a supportive environment that promotes growth and motivation.
A one-day workshop to critically and collectively reflect on the concept of personal boundaries and its nuances was conducted at St. Joseph's Devagiri College, Kozhikode.
